Bullet Wounded truck.
I don't know what happened, but it was within the last 24 hours.

I sure am glad they were there! If it happened while it was driving (think i would've heard it) it would've hit my buddy who was sitting in the passenger side.

Last winter's black-powder deer-season, this old guy at work came in after a morning's hunting and intended to go back that evening.
He left his modern 50-cal in-line laying across the seat of his truck (myself, I don't consider that modern
junk a real muzzle-loader).
I think I am the only person in this county that pockets his keys and locks his truck; nobody else seems to.
Some nosy busy-body decided to inspect the rifle and somehow torched it off, INSIDE THE CAB !!!
It sounded like three sticks of dynamite in a galvanized garbage-can with the lid on.
The slug went through the bench seat, through the metal underneath the back glass, through the tread-brite tool-box and contents, including a bottle of red transmission fluid for effect, through the double-wall bed just above the rear wheel-well, across a very busy side-road, through a big stack of green 4-inch sch.-35 plastic pipe behind ACE Hardware scattering big green splinters everywhere, and proceeded to points un-known.
Nobody got kilt (that's how they say it around here, "kilt" ), but the nosy gun-handler was somewhat shook up.

thats terrible and a really awkward thing to happen in wisconsin. ive been there a good bit lately and its so nice and quiet.
on a side not my uncle had a 1991 mustang LX 5.0 5spd car back in the day. white, real nice car. well he was out on a new years eve and after the ball dropped a few ours later came out to leave and turned his key to no avail. popped the hood to find his batter leaking acid everywhere because someone fired a gun vertically and the bullet just so happen to go through his hood and straight into his battery. weird. not long after the car was stolen

Usually quiet areas (like Maine and Wisconsin) mean more people just target practicing, hunting, etc. Could be an innocent (although terribly neglectful and dangerous) stray target bullet, missed hunting shot, or even kids being dumb.

What caliber 9mm?
That is a little more common here in Los Angeles, glad no one was hurt.
I had several in the back of my truck from when I got shot by some crack heads.

You guys would not believe the bullets that we find inside peoples tires; seriously, hardly a week goes by that we don't see at least one gun shot tire.
Usually, someone's husband coming home earlier than expected plays a part in this; other times, it is either jealousy or just plain mean-ness.
It is not un-usual at all for a tractor, log-skidder, or the like, to have the tires shot up when no one is around, often while sitting parked in the barn; they get a kick out of shooting the radiators also; I guess they like to see the anti-freeze fly.
A "high-power" rifle, .30-06 or the like, will shoot plumb through; but the little 9mm pop-pistols and such will only penetrate through the tire and be found rattling around inside.
Five years ago, we had seventeen big Charolais cows shot and killed on the remote back side of the place and never did know who or why.
