Id just make sure the number gets backed up with another run. I can tell by watching the vid that the truck is stout.

Break the 900hp mark next run Jason...the fuel is there!
How has your truck been doing? Weren't you at like 395cc out of your pump last time I heard? I dunno if the fuel is there for 900 or not, I think the exhaust was just moving the smoke around that was already there. That being said, the truck wasn't all out on the 854 run, I just don't know if it has 5 or 50hp left. Will try to back it up down here in LA, or at Drake's.

I have to say though, it is obvious I didn't make the power on a dyno spike....it was over 700 from 95 to 123mph....a good chunk of high gear.

Its still alive, the fresh engine has about 3k miles on it now, new injectors, cam, and twins are working as planned. Ill hopefully get to spend sometime on it in december.

Its hard to tell by the vid but its possible. Your at about 2.3hp per cc now, and ive heard as far as 2.4-2.5 being possible.

However a 5x25 is larger then a standard test nozzle so the above cc per hp guesstimate is probably inaccurate. Id say you could get by with some 5x28's or 30's to squeeze every last nitrous hp out of it, no?

Seems like with nitrous in the picture, making horsepower just comes down to some good ole fashioned chemistry.

Sorta....although there is still timing, pop of pressure, and washer thickness that come into the picture. Also, me not running an intercooler is still on purpose to avoid any lean-cold backfires from too much nitrous.

I still think a 14mm/4mm would work with enough fuel control above 2,500rpm, and bigger injectors would be nice, although I will leave that up to someone else. I am done. If anyone wants to beat me, go ahead, I know how hard it is.

Hope you're havin fun with your rig in the meantime, it's still one of the nicest 1st gens around!

I agree but at this point my 14mm is reliable enough for me and the last thing I want to do is sacrifice reliability.

Thanks Jason. It is and always will be my money pit. If all goes well in december Ill give the #2 record a run for its money. If I fall short, Ill just regroup and try again.

That'll be cool.....I talked to KTA, and he said he's thinking of making a push to be over 700 sometimes next season in Ol Yellow. Glad to see someone using the words "14mm" and "reliable" in one sentence
