Broke full power lever on 1 gen VE HELP

I did the 366 spring. Did not pull the lever far enough out of the way to put the top back on the pump tried to move it with a wire vs backing out the screw). Bent the lever the full power screw goes up against and broke the tab off when I tried to straighten it. What is involved in replacing the lever part? Does the pump have to come off or can it be done on the truck? Anybody have the part # or name? Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Do you think you are capable of rebuilding the whole pump?

There's an exploded parts diagram in the sticky. You broke the governor lever. Not good.

I have replaced alot of parts inside my pump from bushings to levers using only simple tools, I have an ADP-BECS locally that will sell me any part I might need.

If you think you can handle it,
Take pictures before you start so you have a refrence when you forgot where the part went.

Also have a way to choke off the engine before you restart it, you are messing with the governor and need a way to stop it incase something is binding.

Thanks. I called the closest pump shop (250 miles away). They have the part and the tech/owner did not seem concerned about me installing the part. He would do it if I brought the pump and charge $100 for an hour. I am confident I can do it though. Did a lot of searching online and it seems if a person goes slow and watches close it is not too bad. One question, what can I expect when I remove the head of the pump? Anything spring loaded that will jump out? Does the head with the shaft come out in one piece? Just looking for a little heads up.
I really appreciate this site. I will track down a camera and try to do a write up, hopefully I will be an example not a warning!

I would take the pump off if you're going to go that far.

Yeah it looks much easier with the pump off. All in all does not look like too bad a job.
