Question Brake light in dashboard/vacuum booster question

A month ago my master cylinder failed and ruined the diaphragm in the power brake booster. I replaced with a new master cylinder and a remanufactured booster. Worked really great for a month. Then my brake pedal was stiff as though I had lost some vacuum to the booster – and the problem was intermittent. I assumed the remanufactured booster was failing. But after 100 miles of this, my red “Brake” light and amber “ABS” light in the dash came on. There are no fluid leaks -- master cylinder reservoirs are both quite full.

I don’t think this is a RWAL problem because the brake pedal is stiff all the time and my brakes are clearly not functioning properly. Could a booster failure cause the lights in the dashboard to come on?

CHECK FOR A VACUUM LEAK IT WILL MAKE THE LIGHTS COME ON there are a few places to start .look carefully at all hoses, check vac. pump for good vacuum, check booster for leak, the vac. switch is to the back of the driver side
fender .round ,about3" with 2 wires and a vac. hose in the center, also the heater controls are vac. operated
and yes a bad booster can cause the lights to come on and the stiff peddle

Thanks so much to Rebal & Wanna. The remanufactured booster had indeed failed after one month. I must note that I've had problems with every Cardone-remanufactured part I've ever purchased. Mopar has discontinued the part so it is now "obsolete" (part #5200 8407), but I found a dealer in Kansas still holding one and he cut me a deal so I was able to replace with a new unit. Thanks again.
