Bought some new gauges and tires..Questions.

I needed some new tires so I got some Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. 285-75-16's.

Anyone run these tires. I was wondering how they wear? and how they go in the snow?

I also got all new AutoMeter Phantom Gauges as my old ones got boring and didn't match. Trans temp, pyro, and boost.

The boost is a simple to hook up but i remember reading on here somewhere that the pyrometer for AutoMeter had some grounding issues. What were the issues with this gauge if anyone recalls.

I also want to remove my probe for the transmission temp out of the hot line going to the tranny cooler to a better place to check for temperature. Where is a good place to move it to? The tranny pan?

Also...I don't want to drill any holes in my A-pillar. I am moving my gauges from one of them 3 pod under dash pods to a 2 pod and a 1 pod that im going to put together to make a 3 pod a pillar pod. The interior on my truck is almost perfect and i don't want to ruin it by drilling holes. I was thinking about using some good Velcro or some double sided tape of some sort. Has anyone does this before or have any ideas on what I could do?

I had to ground the pryo gauge to the battery. I had a dedicated ground for the pryo and ran it to the metal on the cab and the needle would jump like crazy. I called autometer and they said to run the ground to the battery. All is good now. Our ground sucks in these trucks.

I've heard those tires wear like Iron

And with the pyro ordeal do what Richie said, I had to do the same thing

leave the trans temp in the hott line, that is the temp of the fluid coming out of the trans. That is the temp you want to be reading.

So I should leave the trans temp in the hot line to get the exact temperature of the fluid coming out of the tranmission?

Ran a set of the Buckshots on a toyota pickup and they didnt last long. Arent my favorite offroad tire either. I would have suggested the Remington Mud Brute. Great wear, off road capability and little road noise and a more rugged look.
