I bought mine in worse condition for the same price. Thinking you came out good especially if it don't need much work. Congrats on the new ride.

Noticed the fender badges are minus the cummins turbo diesel. You did check the VIN to confirm it's an original?

I thought it had a god sag in the front when I first looked at it, but after getting it in the shop I noticed how tall and fairly straight it sat. I think it was because it had been sitting in the same spot for almost a year and the grass was tall around it. As for work that's been done so far its got all new 1 ton brakes only thing not replace was the booster and pedal. Only things really wrong with it now is the frame got quite a bit of surface rust but is still solid as a rock! And there's some rust starting above two of the wheel wells and the gutter above the windshield is pretty rust, not really sure how I'm gonna fix that yet...

Hell for that price it looks pretty good, make sure the killer d pin is done, and change all the fluids, see how she runs and have fun.

Killer d pin? im not sure what that is and the fluids are getting changed and I got the truck from a fella I know and the truck had been sitting for about a year, threw a battery in it he turned the key waited about 5 seconds and about a half a crank and the thing was running beautiful! Was not expecting it to start so easy at all.

Killer dowel pin. I had same issue with rust above the windshield but in my case it was mostly seam sealer which had deteriorated. I hit mine with por15 for now but plan to attack it in detail once winter passes. Can't wait to see a build thread on this one.

I hate YOU!

Seriously, that truck, in that condition, with those miles would bring 6-8K all day long around here, I know, I looked for a blown up, rusted, beaten, garbage truck for over a year for even the money you spent and couldn't find it.

Right now the "best" deal in central Illinois is a 93 with 250K miles, rust and a home made flatbed for $ 4,850, and the sad thing is, it will sell.

You are living right, you had better go buy a Lottery ticket.

Same here. Can't touch one here for that price in that condition. There is one currently for sale here for $2500 and it wouldn't even make a good parts truck.

Pretty sure that is not the original front axle. It has internal hubs, which I don't think came from the factory until the 1991.5 models. Consider it a bonus.
Sweet looking truck!
