Bought DAP 7x16 injectors

So as title says this morning I bought new injections.....again. So far I Went through stock. Bosch 190s, PODS. A custom local set rated at a total of 400hp. 5x16 sdx AND DAP 7x10.

As far as power went the dap 7x10 kicked the sdx 5x16s butt. I had 8 lbs of boost and 3mpg and a way cleaner burn. And these were with the aftermarket injector bodies they sell. So after buying all these sets I was gonna go 7x 12 and figured why not just go huge and be done with the injector buying frenzy.

So now it's all of your turns to tell me why I shouldn't have done a compulsive buy on such a large set of injectors.

12mm ve pump even push enough fuel for them.

With the 7x10s which were most powerful so far I'm running 44psi 1100egt max. So I'm assuming one con is I'll now see 1500+

Gimme some insight. Didn't even know there were injectors this big

Will I be a Guinea pig for this project?

We'll I guess the way it's looking I'll be the Guinea pig.

From what I've read and hear 5x20 is the biggest injector that you'll put in a 12mm ve pump and notice any difference. Any bigger and the gains are minimal.

I've also read that 7x16 and 5x20 are comparable.

In about 10 hours from now after I'm off work I'll get them installed.

Takes half hour these days seeing as I've done this ten times and I'll get my afc tuned in and report back.

I've read that anything larger than 7x12s on ve pumps are exremely difficult to keep clean. To pump doesn't have enough pressure to send the fuel down hard enough because of the 7 holes. It ends up breaking up and not being a solid "slug" of fuel like a 5x## would be.

However that's just what I remember from reading for a couple hours about them. I'm curious what your results will be.

I was a Guinea pig once with the DAP 7X10's and got trashed for it. There are people that want to learn and those that want to trash. All I can tell you is go for it and keep good notes. And may patience be on your side.

Just drove it for the last hour and a half after the install. With the afc and smoke screw backed off all the way and a m and h 3 fuel pin surprising enough it's easy to keep clean and smoke free

Boosting 54psi in fifth rest of gears average 50.

Leaves a trail when your matted. Not as thick or bad as I expected.

Egts are 1450 and then creep slowly if going up a hill at wot.

Piston lift pump needs replaced with an air dog or of sort. Can draw from 18 psi to 0 real quick with all 3/8 lines.

I have a valet switch which runs 30 psi when it's on and 850 to 1000 max egts. Perfect for towing with basically no smoke or haze at all

Now it's been a long while since I had pods but I could swear these smoke half as much as they did. Not going to lie tho it's probably more smoke than what is in most of you guys comfort zone.

I'll post videos later on of how it is. Defiantly pulls hard. Hopin for 350ish on dyno. Not sure maybe I'm over estimating or under estimating.
