Bosch 40hp injectors?
I've been looking at replacing injectors because as far as I know these ones have 300k miles on these ones. A guy at a local shop is getting me a price on them. As far as I can see online tgeyre around $400. I'm trying to get as best mileage on my 93 as I can. Will this help my mileage, and how much do you think it'll help? I can't spend much, I gotta rebuild some front end stuff as well. Thanks.

Rebuilt 4 speed auto, 2wd. Engine runs and sounds good, I guess I can replace with just stock size. Guess cause it seems like it runs good ill just spend $ on the front end parts and new bushings.

I would go back with stock injectors, they give the best fuel economy. I had a set of 4 hole +40's and I ended up hating them. They were smokey and got poor fuel mileage, basically like POD's with out the idle haze. They did boost the power up nicely but thats all.

Spend the money on a better torque conv and you'll get better mpgs.
My philosophy on getting better fuel mileage is actually to make your power on air rather than fuel. Air is free!Better turbo and less restrictive intake piping.
I was getting 24mpgs with 33s but i also have a 5spd. If you can't afford a turbo make fueling adjustments on your pump. Best to do a turbo and ip tuning.

Ok, with that many miles on the injectors should I look at just stock replacement for the whole injector or just the nozzles? Yeah theres a hx35w on the truck. The intake is very free, just 4" tube 45 degrees to the side of the turbo with a big cone amsoil filter on it. Thanks for the great info. So what would be the best turbo for a pretty much stock truck besides pump mods? The injection pump has maybe 100 miles on the rebuild, tranny has a rebuild since 30k miles ago. We are hoping to push 24mpg out of it. With 3.55 on the rear, no locker I'm pretty sure. Might need to re gear or swap for a 3.07?

Total was actually $142.17 and that included everything (banjos, gaskets, etc) for Bosch 190s.
