Boost/Vacuum

Does a Boost gauge work the same as a Vacuum gauge? Im still a little green behind the ears as far as boost goes . I have a vacuum gauge that goes to 45 psi. Thanks

vac is sucking on the guage

boost is blowing air into it.

The vac guage will not do anything for you on a diesel.

yeah i just realized what I wrote. The gauges are exactly the opposite, because obviously if we had good vacuum, we wouldnt need a VACUUM PUMP

I wnt with 40psi just incase I upgrade anything. I can hit 29psi not at WOT. there was only a $3 price difference. I just didn't want to have to change my gauge in 6mo to a year.

Yeah, 40 is a nice number. It's what I have. Most single chargers are out of their map by 40 anyway. Of course, when you go to twins... (you are going twins, aren't you?! c'mon, everybody's doin it! )
