hi ya'll, i was planning on putting in a 6" lift with 37" tires but my new job requires me to be driving for about 4-5 hours a day, will 35 clear a 4" lift? and whats a good road tire, but looks kinda meaty?? i was looking at some toyos?? thanks for your help...again! cheers!

I have a 93 with a 6" lift, and I have 35's with lots of clearance. I think you could get it with 2 inches less lift. My problem is wheels, mine came to me with 16.5" wheels, and there are exactly 2 tires for that now....debating about 17" wheels, so I can try and stuff a 40" under the beast

oops ya i got confused lol well seems like a good idea def. go with load range E even if you barley pull, but if you 4 wheel a lot you'll want D's they can air down lower!

I dont know about size availability or wear but here's some.
Interco:Trxus mud terrrain, trxus all terrain, thornbirds.
Mickey Thompson: Baja mtz of atz.
Michelin: Wrangler RT II (military 36's) I use them and drive alot, they seem okay but they are a little loud at highway speed.
Toyo: Open country AT
Pro comp: All terrain, extreme AT.

i have a 4inch lift with 33's, but 35's will fit, i can't run them though, i have 3.07 gears so 35's would really be pushin the stress on my tranny, 33's will fit your stock hieght, but may rub a little when turnig sharp and flexing the suspension like driving up the curb or a small hump in the ground, i have dick cepec fc2 tires and they have a good load rating and better tire life than bfgs.

I have tried almost every E range 34-35" tire there is. The Toyo Open Country Mt is the best in my opinion.
I have a 6" lift, but it is a lot of lift for a daily driver... The single biggest issue for me with a 6" lift is i had to convert to crossver steering to make it bearable. Even then, the softride springs have shims that put you at 0 degrees caster, which is necessary with drivline modifications to make the driveshaft work, but driving with 0 caster is a bit of a pain too. ....
if i had to do it again, i woudl stick with 33's and a 4" lift.
