BHAF Mount
Since it seems like that is the hot mod going right now, I though I would make a real blue print of the Smoky Mount.
Click HERE and it will take you to thetech photo section.
Double click on the picture, copy, go to Word;page setup and change it to landscape. Now past the picture in (it looks messy at first). Then simply click on the picture, right click, choose format picture, Layout tab, then click on TIGHT.
Now just print and the fab shop might just cut you a break because you have a realy "working drawing"
Good luck howerever you plan on doing it, check my gallery for BHAF pics

thanks...that's about what I figured...
knew being air tight wouldn't really matter...
I guess you just use self-tapping screws or some kind of homemade bracket to attach it to the fender?
I'm thinking of trying the cookie sheet version first...

It bolts under the lip of the fender and core support with 1/4" bolts. If you want to make it easy on yourself get the spring-clip nuts and clip them on the mount rather than trying to reach up under the mount with a nut and a wrench. Good hardware stores have them.

If I interpret the drawing right, it starts with a blank 20"x14" piece of material...and you cut off one corner, cut out the hole, and then put two bends in it...
is the last little 1/2" bend just to give it something to rest against up against the fender?

I have looked at the plans to make this thing and was wondering if there is a side view of the diagrahm. How much of a lip do you need to get it attached to the fender? and does anyone have some good pics of one installed?.
