It depends on the state. I know from an article in Diesel Tech last year that at least in Utah you can run retreads on our light duty trucks.

Cool about the 37"s they are offering but at this point with so many HMMWV 37" surp tires out there that are less than a few years old with 98+% tread for 100 bucks or less it just doesn't make sense that this point. I prefer the USGI rubber even though they may be using the casings from these surp tires I just don't know. I wouldn't want to buy casings that were older than 5 years - it will take a while to wear them down - making them very old by their half life.

The other thing is soon we will be seeing the MT/R surp tires that are even newer and better all around for cheap - giving you the real original tread that the guard dog is copying.
