Way West and/or South. Worth the train trip to go get it. Any Midwest first gen will be rusted out, including frame and springs.

Let us know if you find the West Coast loaded with 5 speed, extra cab 4x4s 1st Gens. Not sure what everyone's perception of loaded is but I think you might find that combination less than plentiful.

So far the search is going alright. looks like I'll be needing to save anywhere between 6000 to 10000 for my search criteria. how hard is a auto to manual conversion? there seems to be alot more 4x4 ext cab autos out there.

Over the course of 12 months of looking previously in Oregon and Washington, a total of only SIX manual trans trucks came up for sale. Thats daily looking on both Craigslist and Truck Trader. That is an average of one every 2 months. Half of those were junk. They are hard to find, period. Elimating 2wd trucks if a 4x4 is required, than pretty sparse pickings. Of course, that is in those 2 states only but the Northwest does have a lot of trucks on the road.

That is a pretty nice site. didn't know what that was before. Time to start cranking out some jobs to build up some savings.

I wouldnt say 10 decent trucks, maybe 3 or 4 but that depends on what you want to spend, condition, odometer, etc.
