Best Memory
Okay we all know why we love these trucks (or at least the engines) but what is you best memory of the truck?
Mine had to be my first full throttle 1-2 shift after installing the 3200 spring which thanks to the wonderful people here was accomplished pain free in an afternoon. That was my first real performance mod to the truck and it was right then that I knew I loved it. I still get a goofy grin just thinking about it.
So what is, whats your memory maker??

My dad bought my original and gave it to me. That's the main reason.
But I was always a gas mechanic and knew gas engines took quite a bit of work get more power out of.
Then when I got the truck and started looking into the engine i realized for less than a few grand i could easily double the power from stock. thats when i really fell in love with it

i went to look at the truck without knowing anything about it and hadnt seen any pictures and when i first saw it i just fell in love with it. what was funny was anyone else would have said it was junk. im talking no bed, exhaust **** near rusted off. the whole engine was/ and somewhat still is covered in oil from every valve cover gasket leaking so badly.but that first sight i knew i she will be mine. and after putting tons of money into her and still counting i dont regret getting her one bit. and all i have to do is look out the window and she puts a pig smile on my face

My grandfather bought the truck new, and I remember riding in it as a kid with my grandfather, or my dad when he would borrow it. At the time my dad had a F-150, which acted like a typical Ford. I remember riding in the W250 and thinking how cool it was because of it's height (I didn't hit a nice growth spurt until high school), it's look, and the sound. My grandfather gave my dad the 92' in the summer of 2000 after he bought a new 01' 2500 w/ the 24 valve. At that time the truck only had 55k on, and my dad drove it until his death in Sept. of 05. He put about 100k on it 5 years as his job involved traveling every once in a while to places across the state. After he passed, I then started driving the truck, which was how I got hooked on the "diesel" bug. The truck has a lot of sentimental value and I couldn't see getting rid of it.

Dad bought mine new too. It is pretty cool when he swears at me that he should have sold it when we are working on it together. Then he laughs, and tells me that I was two years old in a car seat kicking the shifter the day he bought it. lol

Egging on a Viper coupe enough that he got sideways at 50 mph trying to keep up. Once he hooked it back up he passed me pretty easy, but he gave me a thumbs up at the next signal.
