best combination for tow rig

As the title states, what would be the best combination for a tow rig? Best injectors, turbo and other mods.

I'm not talking about towing 20,000 pounds just some moderate weight 7-10k.

Tranny--- (if auto like says in your sig)
Goerend $550 torque converter or something similar,
Bigger trans cooler (unless you have factory underbed cooler)
Deeper pan w/more fluid capacity
Trans temp gauge
Transgo HD shift kit

Engine---
370 Injectors, (5x12) ??
Super HX40 w/16cm housing ??
4" downpipe and exhaust
Upgrade intercooler tubes
BHAF air box w/filter
Advance the timing and rotate the stock fuel pin
Gauges of course (pre turbo EGT pyro and boost)

That thing would be a pulling tank,
Just throwin some stuff out there, if you upgrade your torque converter and keep the tranny cool you could probably tow pretty good with just a few pump tweaks and a stock engine.

What is the point of going bigger on the tubes, especially the hot one, where its just going to neck back down again? The elbow into the engine sure.

PS IC.

I'm thinking you WOULDN'T want to turn the fuel pin for towing, so you aren't giving too much fuel and getting our EGT's too high in the hills at full boost. I guess It can always be rotated back in 5 minutes though.

I don't think that tiny difference in the fuel pin would make a big difference in EGT's if you have enough turbo.

Thats what i meant apwatson

Good debate guys which is what I'm looking for. I have an HX35, set of PODS and 3200 spring kit and I was wondering if I'm better off leaving those for the crew cab and finding another combination for the dually, which will be the main workshorse for any towing. Also have the gauges and a DTT rebuild kit.

The dually already has a rebuilt tranny but not sure what components are in there. I'm led to believe the internals were updated along with the flexplate.

Yea the HX35 and PODS are gonna mix well with towing.

torque Converter is the main thing.
