The Best After Market Exhaust System For A 1st Gen??
After doing a search I see that there's not much of a selection for us with the first gens when it comes to a lot of accesories that are available to 2nd and 3rd gen owners.
I'm thinking of getting a new exhaust system for my 93 Dodge Cummins. Value and performance is what I'm after. In your opinion, what new exhaust system should I be looking at and buying for my truck?? Comments or suggestions welcome!! Thanks! Chuck

I would like to hear as well what others have to say. I have heard www.bigexhaust.com mentioned several times here.
How much do you really gain over a stock straightpipe as well?
How much louder does the larger diameter make it if any, mine is not to bad right now with the factory setup straightpiped.
My system is in pretty good shape yet, so hate to replace it if I am not gonna gain much with my rig close to stock.

Rip's systems look really nice, if they include the hangers they're easily worth $100 more than the bigexhaust.com system. I'm running the bigexhaust.com system, you have to swap your old hangers onto the pipes so you either need a mig machine or a bunch of extra clamps.
Mine sounded much better with the 4", it made for a deeper note than the 3" straight pipe. It seemed quieter to me because it wasn't as raspy. HP wise you will gain nothing. If you are having EGT problems you will drop them about 100 degrees.

I got mine from scheid diesel. It is 4in. all the way.The sound is a little deeper than the stock system(both straight)And it helped my egt's about 100 degrees or more.I also gained a few# of boost.I wanted a true 4in. system so they had to make it while I waited, but it only took about a week to get it.I think it was about 400 or 450 dollars.Money well spent IMO.
