Bent Frame
Well after a good 60hrs of plowing thing week i had a major issue. Was finishing my last lot and i found a curb the hard way. Passenger side frame rail is pushed down 2-3 inches at the bumper it looks to have bent right behind the shock mount. How may of you guys have had good luck getting the trucks straight and keeping the straight after there fixed. I have am taking i to a guy this after noon and will see what he has to say. The truck still look and drives OK no sheet metal damage and the body still sits square all the door gaps are still good so hopefully this will be a easy fix once it's on the rack. The sad part is it wasn't that hard of a hit I didn't even bend my Boss V blade and i know i have hit (i hate to addmit it ) much harder in other (ford) trucks. I guess it proves how fragile the frames are on these trucks. If i figure out how to post pics i will put some up.

Probably more of a factor that the engine weighs twice any other engine used for the same frame. The frames are pretty universal on these, you should be able to find a whole donor or even just a section to scab in and probably make stronger. Somebody here may even have one sitting leftover from a conversion.

GOOD NEWS: Took it in to a local guy and he says it's and easy pull. Only going to cost a few hundered to fix and he will work it in by the end of the week. All and all it was a mild bend and only rearanged things down there. He has fixed trucks with alot more damage plows. On a side note he did say if it had been a 2nd gen truck and i had bent the frame like this one it would have been MUCH worse to try to fix.
Thanks for the support
