Bench seat problem

Recently went to get something from behind the seat and the dang thing only moves up 5 or 6 inches then stops as if it was some sort of a brake related deal like the seat belts. Any solutions? I've wrenched on it pretty good with no luck.

Thanks

Geez, I have 2 and I cant remember if you have to pick up the latch to fold the rear up or it just piviots. either way I have had the seats out and there is nothing I can imagine that would hold it from going forward. just be sure both sides unhook or it wont move but a inch or two. I believe they kinda float so if your were to slam on the brakes it would hook and not fly forward.but it sounds like one is stuck.

sometimes mine does it, and you pretty much just have to make love to it. gently rock it back and forth and then jerk it hard. usually mines goes after a few of these
