Bed off '93, how much is it worth
I am looking at putting a flatbed on my '93 and was wondering about how much I could get out of my original bed? It has a sprayed in liner and the rockers are also sprayed. The paint is also good. The bed is in perfect condition except 1 little ding on the drivers side at the top. The tailgate is in perfect condition. All of the lights work. Any help will be appreicated.

Remember to keep "for sale" items in the classifieds.
Prices and negotiating should be kept to private email or PM's.

Howdy Ram,
When I bought my truck it had a big ugly flat bed on it,and I wanted to change it to a regular bed.
I inquired after a lot of beds...saw several that were in very nice shape on Ebay that didn't sell at all with $300.00 opening bids...
I contacted one person after the auction(rust free bed,one dent on the bed rail)and their best deal was $200.
I finally ended-up buying an entire truck(off Ebay)for $125 that had real decent sheet metal and a bed in very good shape. Pulled all the sheet metal, and the rest of the parts I needed, removed and sold everything else(wheels, tires, scrap steel, etc) and recovered more than I paid for it.
I know there was a dually bed in the classifieds on another site for $350 that has been availible for a few months now.
Like anything else, demand drives the market price...I'd think your bed could be worth up to $500 or maybe more to someone who needs a nice one,but I'm thinkin'your gonna have to hold on to it for a while to get it.
Also, from my reading of the lists,it seems like putting on a flatbed is a WAY more popular idea right about now.
Hope that helps,
Vinny

Upon looking at your pictures, I have come to the conclusion that your truck would look like trash with a flat deck and those wheels. My suggestion is to give me those wheels once you change to your flatbed and find a different style.
Well jeez, it's worth a try. What brand of wheels are those, I'd like a set for my 93.
