I've got no qualms about getting a new battery if I can. Honestly, after 3 years your battery probably needs replacement anyway; why pay out money if you don't have to.

I've got Optimas in both my wife's Z71 and my '93. They work great on both trucks, especially because the Chevy seemed to like to eat a battery every year or so and would be getting weak after a year at most. I'll be going on 2 years for both battery's this summer and am happy. I'll also point out that my '93 stays parked for long periods of time and even in cold weather I've never had a problem cranking.

It's probably best that those who suggest obtaining stuff by false pretense shouldn't post. A thief is a thief.

So if my battery is getting weak and I take it to exchange, and I ensure I get my exchange by dumping out some water or whatever, I'm a thief?

Feel free to contribute to the thread instead of voicing opinion about others character, a subject that you know very little about.

By your description . . . you've answered your own question.
