Battery Drainage

So basically my 93 Cummins was dying on me. I would have to charge the battery before starting and it would drain while I was driving and I would have no lights no horn etc, and would eventually die. I've replaced my alternator and got a new battery. I'm still having problems with it draining. I found out yesterday my crankshaft sensor wire had broke and I'm about to replace that but I'm not completely sure if that would fix the problem. So what should I do?

The CPS would account for the no charge, but the accessories sound more like fusible link blown. Which could also cause a no charge.

Lot of people replace with fuses there's ample tutorials, but at the very least, check them. Also grounds grounds grounds. Clean them, add them.

Incorrect, a bad CPS would cause your alternator to go full output and boil your battery. A common issue on 92/93 model years. Most people do a bypass.
What you are describing would make me check the fuseable links near the battery. You are not getting power to the right places.

You sure? That sounds more like a result of the PCM's internal regulator failing. (Because full-output is what happens on a 89-90 truck when the regulator fails).

AFAIK, the CPS function (IC trucks) is to let the PCM know the engine is turning, and the PCM responds by 'activating' the alternator.

Ive had my CPS fail. The charge system wont work because the computer doesnt know the trucks running. Replace it and your problems likely solved.
