Is this bad?
Yeah, so I noticed a few bubbles in the overflow day before yesterday after putting the coals right to the old girl a few times. Figured a torque check was in order. What I found was four stretched bolts that would only hold 100ft/lbs and this:
How it didn't snap off in the block and ruin my weekend, I'll never know. I've got some replacements coming--I'd be sunk if it weren't for the great members on this forum

hey greg were they new head bolts... that sucks big time but atleast you got the bolt out..
and has anyone heard that the 2nd gen head bolts would hold 55psi..

They were the originals, and if the head had been done once before I bought the truck, then this would be the 4th torque attempt on 21 year old bolts, so I'm not too surprised, really. I can kind of drive it if I keep it under 10psi. I'd just park it, but I've made some commitments that have to be kept

That really sucks. But Thank You, all of your problems have helped me get the stuff that I might need aka new head, injectors, head bolts..........
