backspacing for 15" rims?

i have a set of tires (35x12.5 R15) with only ~2000 miles on them. i want to eventually be able to use these on my truck after some suspension modifications.

i remember some time ago (cant seem to find it with the search function) the maximum amount of backspacing to fit 15" rims on our 1st gens. i would want a 15x10 inch rim, so what amount of backspacing is required? is it possible or am i losing it? i dont mind the tires sticking out past the fender.

thanks for the help, Pat

I don`t think 15`s will clear the brakes unless you do some major grinding on the calipers.

Chris is right, your not going to put 15 " rims on a 3/4 ton truck unless you grind your calipers down to nothing. best to stick with 16" rims.

2.5" back spacing will leave 7.5" sticking out. Thats alot of wheel sticking out from the fenders.
