im pretty sure the od works it can still almost bury the speedo. but i think it might be the converter because when i had 255's on the back it would almost bury it, and the new 235/85/16 AT's will do the same, but i put it thru a gear calc, and with the 3.54 it should do about 120 well burryed at 3000 but i need to get a tach to make a good judgement, tire pressure is 75 front 62 rear because the fronts are P tires so i just tried to stiphen them.and now lately the acceleration is just awful, so i need to replace the fuel filter, been in there since fall. but any opionions are welcome, keep them coming

Low power in addition to low MPGs- fuel filter or fuel system issues, sounds to me like. You got gauges on there? Mom's sees 1000deg in manifold, with about 27psi boost. Stock H1C, 92 D350 xcab auto. Not sure on MPGs, as this is the first time with the new fuel system. Had dropped to 13mpg empty.

yeah that sounds about rite, because lately i have noticed that the horsepower seemed to turn to ponypower , but i think its the filter saying i fill up at walmart . so i will look into changing filter, i have heard of a taller filter for ours just without the water sep, (or something like that ) does it exsist, if so whats the help, and does it hurt anything?

And im sure theres some auto guys out there, just how bad can the slush-o-matic TC be. if i need i can get a low stall TC soon, what are the prices i just need something for daily driver, i do very few hauls with it

You need the water separator, don't get a straight fuel filter. If you want a longer filter/separator, Fleetguard FS1221 is the longest one I've found that fits. It has a water drain in the bottom instead of a hole for the WIF sensor, so you lose the WIF sensor.

Don't expect better (or worse) fuel mileage from this filter.

I'm getting 12-14 with mine. Even when driving responsibly. I attribute the low mileage to the automatic,ULSD, winter and the various mods even though they are mild. Can't have your cake and eat it too...

Ive just gotten teh Odometer working again on mine and have checked it against the mile-markers and a stopwatch, and know it is with-in .01 miles accurate( for howlong? who knows) The last three tanks of fuel, mixed city/highway driving averaged out and I am getting 18.347 mpg.......
Havent checked it under any sort of load yet.....

My mileage has been bad since winter. Doesn't seem to matter if I take it easy or not either. I am down in the 16's mostely around town, at a click of 2,000 miles per month. If I don't idle it in the morning I get 1mpg back, so I quit doing that unless the ice is thick.... if I could keep it at a constant 1,200RPM maybe it would help, and if I didn't treat every on-ramp like a drag race.... life wouldn't be worth living!

there's no residual pressure in the fuel system so just go ahead and spin off the old fuel filter, er well after offing the WIF rig, and spin on the new one. You may be thinking of the FI gassers or common-rail diesel fuel systems. Mine leaked fuel until I'd tightened it 'way more than I'd expected. You might consider filling the new filter with fuel before putting it on.
