Autometer Tach calibaration
Hi there i just purchused a 92 power ram 250 cummins 5 speed and installed an autometer diesel tach and was wondering how to go about calibrating it thanks any help would be great,

it says to calibrate it at highway speeds. you need to have a small flat head screw driver(eye glass repair style) and ther eis a hole on teh back side of the tach.
i just started the truck after having it checked at my local shop real quick, they told me is was at 750. so i set it there.
another way is to get it close to what you think is idle. go for a cruise and floor it, should max at 2500 rpms if itis stock. stop bump it up if needed etc...
