My Isspro reads about that cold. It has done it since it was new. So I really don't know if anything is wrong with our gauges or not.

My pyro needle will 'spike' or jump when the ignition is turned off and could be anywhere. When I turn the ignition back on it goes to about 100. Now, same gauge on my car goes to 0 when turned off.

If your pyro is an electronic one like mine is(Sport Comp II, I'm pretty sure most of AM's pyros are) it will stay pretty much wherever it was when you kill the power until you power it back up and it re-sets itself(you'll hear the stepper motor for a couple seconds when you turn the power on to the guage.) On a dead cold engine, mine re-sets to ambient(or 0, whichever is higher,) but, it does take a good long while for the engine to get back to ambient temperature on any kind of a warm day.
The Banks one I had on my 6.9 was a direct reading guage, the only power going to it was for the back light, and, it would read ambient temperature, so long as it was warm enough to move the guage off it's stop... LOL
