Autometer fuel pressure guage

I was quoted 200 bucks for the 100psi Phantom series w/ the isolator!!! Is this a normal cost or should I bend over??!! Can the Phantom 100 psi oil pressure guage w/ isolator be used in place as a fuel pressure guage? That one is ony about 45-50 bucks. I have the plunger LP...do I even need 100 psi??? Phantom makes a 35 psi, but the dealer told me I needed the 100 psi. Please advise!!

0-30psi boost or fuel pressure gauge is the most you need. 12-16psi idle, 18-20psi max you'll ever see. Most of the time 17-18psi is max you'll see. Get an electric fuel pressure gauge and be done with it. Here's the one I got and it's lasted MUCH longer than any mechanical I've tried: http://genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WM-FPKT-30.
