My neighbor has an '91.5 D350 with a 518 tranny. I am a manual tranny guy but am familiar with the older 727s.

We have installed a deep trans pan and adjusted the bands but have not done the governor yet. We have also installed a potentiometer which he is happy with. He is building the truck to haul a mobile slaughter trailer. His work is half empty half loaded and peaks seasonally. His trips ane usually within 50 miles with slightly longer ocasionally.

I've got the engine enhancments covered by starting with "teaser" upgrades - I will not do major performance upgrades until he gets guages which are coming.

What I/we need is recomendations on a better torque converter and a flex plate upgrade. In addition he wants to install a better trans cooler - the under bed style for his heavy haul portion of his trips. My guess as to weight would be under 6000lbs empty and a max of 9000lbs loaded.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Goerend converter, second gen flex plate and they sell trans coolers and that at jets and sumitt racing just make sure it has 1/2" lines
