Auto tranny rebuild kit/shift kit questions
I'm about to pull out my A518 and put in a hughes converter, have a buddy rebuild the tranny, and probably put in a shift kit (I wish I could afford a suncoast valve body at the moment). Where should I get the tranny rebuild kit? I've seen lots on ebay, and the price ranges from about $100 to about $225. Which ones should I look for, and what should I avoid? Should I avoid the ebay ones all together? I also noticed lots of different shift kits for these. Which would be the one to get? Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction!
shift kit i have it and love it nice firm shift and it is programable with diff springs

What he said. I got mine from Northern Auto Parts, the rebuild and trans go shift kit. I did it a year ago and its preforming great, shifts are firm but not like the gasser neck snap that most of my other cars had
