ATF in the Fuel Filter??

Yes, why not just fill it with clean diesel ? Pretty simple really !

I would love to see where cummins tells you to fill your filters with clean fuel or any thing for that matter. I have been to at least a fifteen diffrent cummins schools for all diffrent engines and they forbid you put anything in the filters that is why you have a lift pump. I think i'll stick to the safe route of bleading the system and saving my 1500 $ pump

The outfit I work for has roughly 60 pieces of equipment with mechanical pump cummins engines in them. I have worked there for 11 years and we fill the filters with ATF at every service.

Not sure of the benifits but it definetly has not hurt any of them. We commonly get over 15,000 hrs in some of the harshest running environments imaginable.

I don't own any automatics, so I have no ATF on hand, and I don't have a diesel-only gas can, so I fill my filter with kerosene and a shot of fuel additive.

I like the way in the picture it looks like the fuel is being poured out of a laboratory beaker!
