Art Carr

Anyone ever used an Art Carr converter? I talked to a tranny shop today and the guy told me thats what converter he uses. He said they custom build the converter to match what your plans are for the pickup. Any opinions on this? https://www.artcarr.com/page/about.acpp

While Art Carr makes some really good stuff, I would stick with a company that specializes in Diesel applications.

Not really. Art Carr has been around a long time and makes very good products, ran one in a big block Suburban a couple years ago. I wouldn't be afraid of putting one in a diesel.

Fat and Soggy? What a combination. Are you really brothers?

I had "Timinva" install a DTT torque converter several years back. I am totally satisfied with it and it wasn't that hard on the wallet at that time. Although I beleive he said the next one might be a little more. Valve bodies are in short supply.
DTT had me fill out a questionaire and they custom built the converter for my application. I have literally tried to tear it up and can't while running stock tires on every kind of road imaginable. The A518 has their shift kit installed as well and it is hanging in there too. I haven't been on a dyno in a couple years but I feel like I have a little more than what is in my sig. at this time.

We shore are My pickup is the reason he bought a 1st Gen, so he runs the video camera at the track for me out of undying gratitude for that.
