There is a knock sound coming from the bottom end that sounds suspiciously like the flexplate. After ripping out the OEM one two years ago I replaced it with one from a 2nd gen truck. Anyone break one of the 2nd gen units?

Yes I used loc-tite when I installed it, no I haven't checked them yet.

 

Check it first to see if the bolts are loose, I had it happen to me. Made one heck of a racket. Also check your #6 injector to see if its knocking, I have my 92 that sounds like it has a brokent flexplate, but its #6 making a whole bunch of noise and its traveling out the flexplate.
