Ok,

It looks quite different in that the diesel clip looks reinforced. The diesel clip has 2 holes to get to the nuts holding the clip to the frame where the D100 the nuts are wide open with no gusseting around it.

The diesel mounts are on a perch welded to the clip where the gasser looks like the mounts are right on the clip.

The D100 has either 5 or 6 lug wheels. And the rotors look quite a bit lighter.

Figured the D250 would have stronger front end components and brakes?

Oh, the whole frame and front suspension on a '92 diesel are way beefier. But it does not have to be that way for a play toy. That's what this is gonna be, right?

Yes,

A tire burning beater. I could swap the dash in from the diesel and register it using the diesel vin# for emissions purposes.

I thought about boxing in the "C" frame in 3 or 4 places between the firewall and the core support to make it more beefy.

A D100 is not smaller than a D150. It's a name change, nothing more. Like Chevy used to call a K2500 a K20.

That was the Ram 50/Power Ram 50. A Mitsubishi in Dodge clothing, completely different truck than the Dakota.

A 6BT in a Ram 50 would be quite a feat of backyard engineering!

I've got an i/c first gen in a 93 chevy 1500. My pictures got deleted, but you're welcome to come by and look at it if you're ever in Miami, FL.
