Any experience with the Walker Quiet Flow?
I'm becoming increasingly annoyed with the straight pipe exhaust on my 92CC. Over 130,000 miles ago I deleted the muffler. It was amusing for a while but I'm over it now. Way over it.
I'd like to quiet this thing down as it may become my daily driver again.
The Walker Quiet-Flow 44194 is supposed to be a drop-in for the factory muffler. Have any of you used this thing? If so, is it as big of a power choke point as the original muffler?
My truck only has a tweak on the pump for a touch more power. It's no competition rig. Maximum performance isn't the goal. It's a truck meant to do truck things.

I had the exact same feelings. The straight exhaust was fun for a while, then I really started to hate it.
I had a local in my neighbor hood approach me with a free muffler. It was the stock muffler off his low mileage 06 (?) cummins truck. He upgraded to a new system. I was in the process of looking for a muffler so I thought why not.
He dropped it off and I was impressed with it. It has 4" in and out, is a straight through flow muffler. I installed it and really like the sound. It took a lot of the drone and harshness away, but it still has good sound....not excessive like the straight pipe.

Trashing:
Sounds like the neighbor that gave you a muffler was over the straight through exhaust sound too.

Stock muffler on an 06 would be a suitcase they're huge!
I don't think the quiet flows actually flow any better. these trucks had mufflers from the factory that necked down to 2.5 inside. hopefully the walker is not like that.
years ago we had a 93 with a brand new walker muffler and tailpipe and when i cut the muffler off it lowered the EGT's 100 degrees onthe top end

I put one of the big donaldson mufflers on my 1st gen truck with 4" exhaust and love it. Just about as quiet as stock no drone at all maybe just a little deeper sound
