Another inj. pump leaking
So,I went and sold the 2000 1ton 4x4 a/t loaded and bought a '93 3/4ton 4x4 5-speed with no options.
The floor pans were a little rough but we just got the new ones finnished up last night.
The truck's been in the shop for a week while we were playing with the pans.
I fired it up last night, backed it out of the shop, and see a trail of something leaking.
Turns out it's diesel.
Upon closer inspection it appers to be coming out of the throttle shaft.
I've searched on here and found that most problems appear to be at the Control Valve,by the way, nice write up Mr. Jim Lane.
In your opinions, would it most likley be the control valve? On the breakdown I don't see an o-ring on the throttle shaft,or am I just not seeing things right?
Thanks in advance,
Ragg

If you look at the write up for the 3200 spring it will tell you have to remove everthing on the shaft. After putting one back together I had a major leak. I tore it down and rechecked the order that I put the componets back onto the shaft and started it back up with no leaks. When you put everthing on there it pulles the shaft to a spefific depth, mine was off just a little. I can't remember if there was an o-ring

Thanks for the feedback Micaihfied.
I tore into it this afternoon and found what appears to be a broken lock washer or spacer of some sort.I'll pick one up tomorrow and put it back together.
I'll post what happens.

Yes G1625S,that's kinda where I'm leaning but I can't figure out HOW to get the shaft out.
I don't even see it in the exploded view here:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...15&postcount=9
maybe someone can point it out for me.
Also,do I need to pull the pump out of the truck?
I'm not concerned if I have to as I've owned 2 '92 trucks and had to pull the pumps on both of them, but,it would be nice not to have to.
Thanks again,
Ragg
EDIT-I just saw it,it looks like #'s 66,68,69,92. Now #66 & 92 are coded "A" being a wear part.Do you think I'll need #68 & 69 ? Is there a "kit" that I can get these parts? Would anyone have a part # ?

The pump top has to come off to remove the throttle shaft. Look at the 3200 spring directions in the sticky...oh, just click
http://dens-site.net/Dodge_CTD/Gover...ing/index.html
Once the pump top is off, the shaft will push through and you'll be able to see weather the o-ring on the shaft is bad or if you need a new bushing in the pump top itself. Hope this helps!

That's for FUN! Seriously, the factory spring will begin pulling back fuel at about 2100 rpms and is all done by 2250, give or take. The 3200 rpm spring, being true to its name, will allow the pump to full fuel to 3200 rpms. It's a must have for any truck. At less than 20 bucks it's a complete no-brainer. Makes any truck much 'snappier'. It'll feel like your right foot is directly attached to fuel delivery when compared to the stock spring.

Well,I got it all back together last Friday night.O.M.G. this truck is G-R-E-A-T.
She'll hit 90m.p.h. with no problem.
Even at $80 for the parts I'm happy (cheapest fix I've ever had on any of my diesels in the past)
DEFINATLY,if anyone's in their pump DO THIS SPRING.
Thanks again G1625S (Greg) your help was greatly appreciated.
Yeah,she's great.This truck isn't the one that'll push her.I had a '79 CJ-7 and now have a '61 FC-170.
She loves THIS truck.
