I've been running one for two years now with no problems at all.

Regarding brands from ebay

Do they come with a pump, spacer, gaskets, and an advanced line?

If so, than you got a great deal.

I might buy one just for a spare.

Do you have a Walbro link??

Why the Walbro, and not the FASS??

Thanks.
Yep, that's the way it's set up. For more info read this thread:https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=120066

I got most of the pieces from GDP http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/ , the rest came from McMaster-Carr.

The Walbro is a high pressure, high volume pump. It is putting all the fuel it can pump right to the injection pump, the excess is bled off via a bypass regulator. Fuel pressure ranges from 15 to 18 psi.

A FASS is an internally regulated setup, so the filter acts as a false load. You have your 15 psi up to the filter, after that the pressure depends on the restriction that the filter imposes - just like the factory setup. I would expect to be able to drag a FASS down the same way I can drag the piston pump down. That's not intended as a slam on the FASS, it's more of a slam on our puny filters. I see 7 psi drop through the extended filter with the Walbro - although that's with around 65 gph flowing through the filter.

I bought mine from ebay maybe 4 months ago. No problems yet. I got one of the ones that were going for like $49 that were surplus. Didn't come with lines or spacers or gaskets, had to go to the San Leandro Cummins for that stuff.
