Am I heading in the right direction

Just purchased a 91 ic w250 reg cab 5 spd. I 've been viewing this great site and have gleaned alot of info, thank you guys. This is the direction i am heading.

1. guages
2. pump tweaks
3. denny t or pdr pin
4. bhaf
5. 190 or pod injectors
6. 3200 gvs
7. stans 4" turbo back
8. 16cm turbo housing

She will be a daily driver with occasional hauling. Will this combo keep reasonable mpg, decent hp, and manageable egts. any more info would be great.

Thanks again for this great site.

Welcome to the forum. Is this truck intercooled? Other wise it's a good start. If it's non intercooled just take the injectors off the list. Other wise, the list is good for a nice 300HP with the POD's.

pods will give you more hp but are a dirty injector. if you looking to make the amount of power pods will give you but want a cleaner injector look into some edm injectors. they will cost you more money but a cleaner running.

You bought a 1st gen, that's a sure sign that you are heading in the right direction.

EGT will get toasty if you max the pump out with either set of injectors.

Power and temps are all about cc's and cfm. If this is a budget rig, POD's would be my suggestion and a 60mm compressor of your choice. Watch EBAY for a HX40/16cm housing. You may be cheaper to go that route than to mod your turbo.
