Aluminum pickup steps: Will these work?

I would like to add on aluminum steps for my 93' Ram. Currently I have the chance to snag a set, however they are off of a 2nd gen Dodge Ram. Can I bolt these onto my 93' with little to no modification? The steps are Steel Horse aluminum steps (approx 20" in overall length) Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I figured having steps is better than going with the full length running boards that were on it before. I just need a little extra footing for the family when they ride along.

when you install those try to put a rubber between the steel and the aluminum. i see alot of trucks with aluminum running boards and where ever they are attached to the truck they are almost rusted right through from electrolisis or moisture and on fairly new trucks.

Thanks for the tip! I would have figured for chaffing, but not for corrosion issues.....I will do just that to prevent a possible problem.

I am running some aluminum steps on my 93 LE. I believe they are made by Carr (?). I bought them from Cabela's about a year back. I am fairly big; 6' 245 lbs. When I get in the cab, the rockers will flex! If I still had my Millermatic 210 (needed $ so had to sell : ( ), I would of fabricated my own steps - which I would attach via horizontal square steel stock, to the frame. If you are a big guy; I would see if you could locate some steps which attach to the frame. Or else fab your own, if you have a welder and some time.

Thanks for your input. Long ago I helped my dad install a set of Carr's on his 92' GMC. I am trying to remember how they attached: I think they just screw into the backside of the rocker panel right? Between all of us crawling in & out of that GMC, they held up pretty well. The whole concept I'm trying to establish is simple, small and looks good.

The Carr's attach with some stainless sheet metal screws. Two screws attach horizontally; into the backside of the rocker panel. Like I said, attachment to the frame would be way better!
