Almost time to rebuild my A518...
My truck has about 190k miles on it, and sadly it has the A518. I was thinking of installing a 5spd, but I can buy a manual truck for as much as it would cost to do the swap. I know you probably hate auto questions, but what should I do to the tranny? Any suggestions on where to get the parts? Would just getting a new torque converter be enough for now?
When I'm going up a hill at about 50mph with a little under half throttle the tranny will jump out of OD, then back in, which is why I'm thinking she needs a rebuild.
I appreciate any help from you guys,
Parker

Someone told me at around 180K the autos get tired so it would be best to rebuild, but I'll definitely check the TPS.
I have thought about the 47RH. Can anybody give me some more info on the swap. What needs to be done, and is it worth it? About how much could I expect to pay for a 47RH?
Again, thanks for any input.

Have had some luck wraping the alt positive wire with alunimun foil. Seems to kill some RFI from alt and has stoped some hunt shifting on others. The foil wrap does not have to be pretty to try.
