Almost sold my truck!
Pulled in to our local Sonic this morning and a couple of guys pulled up beside us. One of them asked if my truck was for sale. I said for more than you'd want to pay. He said How Much? I said just to be funny $10,000. He said OK cash money! Luckily my wife said NO!
What are these first gens going for these days? This fellow said he has been looking all over for one and can't find one anywhere.

A clean west coast 5 speed dually, even in 2wd would likely sell very quickly for $10,000.
I personally know a guy that just sold his cream puff W-250 extra cab 5 speed 4x4 for a bit less than $40,000. It was a true time capsule and in EXCELLENT shape.
Glad you had the wife in the truck with you.

In my neck of the woods a clean W250 reg cab can be in the $12-15K range, club cab in the $14-18K range....price may vary with colours and options and add-ons.
Always go super high...I'd have said $30K....

Yea, don't price it unless you really want to sell it!
They are like tractors now, folks are tired of down time due to computer glitches.
I too am glad your wife was there to get you out of that mess!

Hey Edwin we are both old enough to know that 10 grand is chump change for these trucks now-a-days. I can’t believe how much the big 90s Broncos and the 2 mpg Suburbans are going for. My standard is to say 50k and hope they take it. Then I would take that money and have Oliver build me a better one 💰💰😎…Mark
As a side note, I get several calls a day from people that want to buy my house. I was just saying I’ll take a million five otherwise leave me alone. Well it turns out now that thay are thinking about it instead of hanging up 😳

Trying to get $100,000 for a single wide with a rusty roof on .59 acres with the same all close together. It's in the sticks with inbred neighbors right in your face.
This is all eventually going to crash, and crash hard.

I have no interest in selling my house at any price but what is happening in Phoenix is crazy. Studio apartments are 1800+ monthly and many of the people selling their homes are now losing it all because they can’t afford to buy back in. It’s crazy…Mark
Also, another reason that they can’t buy another house is because hedge funds and other Wall Street types are buying up houses for above asking and then renting them out to the same people that sold it to them for 4000 bucks a month. (I may have exaggerated that price a bit)

Lots of Commiefornians are fleeing the state for places like Nevada and Arizona. This drives up rents also. We looked at Casa Grande area when we were there and found we couldn't afford it. We plan to take the proceeds from selling our properties in CA and buying rental props here in Okiehoma and living off the rents.

If the truck is in good shape or solid, most are selling for 20K from what I've seen. Everything has to work though, no funny stuff.. Rusty or needs work and things are "Patches" <--- then probably $2-7500 depending on it. Buddy just solid his orange D250 for 17K to some kid down in SC. Dad came up with a tractor trailer and a lowboy.. hauled it back.
I still refuse to sell, just pulled out a 2021 bronco that was going down an old trail.. it snapped the CV axle. Not even at the joint.. right at the metal. Had the ford paper still on the axle which said, manufacture for ford from global components. My MF165 is made in USA with UK parts, and pulled that bronco all over. Since it's close to my house he walked about five miles for help. Sadly I was just down that trail in my W250 because I wanted to check the water.. which reminds me I need to align my front tire. I don't know, too many electronics on these things that really were perfect years ago..
I hope people see what engineering we had back then.. heck few weeks ago there was a 2019 Polaris snow mobile on the trail stuck in two feet of snow. My buddy was driving an old bolens snowmobile on tracks and I ride a 1979 Bobcat from evinrude. We helped him get it out but man, I swear that machine is over 1,000lbs. We had small talk but he was so impressed with those vintage machines he made a point he was going to buy one. And yeah.. he asked us if our were for sale.. NOPE!
