Air Conditioning Question
Well the old 89 needs some help in the A/C area ..... I checked the tempeture on the the line from the Condenser to the Expansion Valve and it was 55* but that tempeture isn't getting to the inside for some reason. The compressor cycles fine everything else seems OK .. I haven't put gauges on it I need the connectors for the Freeze 12. Do you think the expansion valve by the firewall would cause this? didn't see any leaks sight glass has Freon running through it, compresser not that old .... humm any suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you're certain the system has enough freon the expansion valve could be the problem. I think that it is detectable by to great a differential between the high and low pressure sides of the system.
If you have low freon the system will usually start cycling on and off as the low pressure switch cuts the compressor off when the low side gets to low. It could also be a symptom of a plugged expansion valve.
Try more freon first and if that doesn't fix it then you probably need professional help.
