Air Box Mods?

Looking for any suggestions for an air box mod to get more air flow for the turbo. Are there any good aftermarket kits that would be a better way to go, or can the airbox be modified to produce the same results?

Thanks in advance for any insight on this.

get yourself a icebox cold air intake system, with the amsoil 4510 dry nanofiber
filter, it also uses your stock compressor to air box hose

Or go to the sticky and build your own per the instructions there. Much cheaper.

You can mod the OEM filter box such that it has a much larger intake than originally. . . ..

Or just get an old soup pot, whittle on it some, and shoe-horn it into where the original was . . . .

check this out..under the passenger side on the bottom of the core support is this little scoop thing. so we cut out the inner wheel house above it so air gets pushed up the scoop into the engine compartment colling things down.

top view--- of what we cut

heres 2 pics of how we modded our airbox...all this took about 30 minutes with a little air saw for the wheel well and a hole saw on a drill.
