AGR vs Borgeson??
My dads PS box is leaking... I am looking into upgrading to either an AGR or a borgeson.. I have not really heard much about AGR.. I got the Borgeson box for my truck a while back and have been very happy. I cannot however find the correct borgeson box on their website... has something changed?
does anyone have any reviews on the AGR box?
Thanks!

Call Chip and say " T. " from NJ told you to call.
Power Steering Services, Inc. - www.PowerSteering.com - 1-417-739-9010 | Modern Steering For Classic Cars
He rebuilt and modified my gear and pump, and he's the most knowledgeable person on the planet regarding ps units.
I upgraded my ratio as well

I called Chip last Monday and left a message.
I haven't heard back from him yet.
I will try him again next week as well.

If you need it done fast, then call redhead first, as they have more employees, thus faster turn around

Redhead usually has a few in stock. I've generally heard good things about Redhead. My cousin ordered a box for his 1985 K20 and it looked decent. He hasn't installed it yet.
I had Chip from Power Steering Service rebuild a mid 70's 4x4 box for me and a power steering box. His turn around was 8-10 weeks on both. I haven't installed them yet but they look good.
Chip is a great guy to deal with. He is up there in age and said he was thinking about semi retiring when I talked to him 6 months ago. Just something to think about.

Another vote for Redhead.
Just replaced my OEM gearbox. Redhead had it in stock, quickly shipped it out via the "If it fits, it ships" USPS box with return shipping tag included. No hassle deal, IMO.
The new box works like a new one. I'm confident the difference between the Redhead unit vs the typical Cardone quality unit will be seen five years from now when the Redhead is still working just fine.
NOTE: So as to ensure the longevity of the new gearbox, I replaced the power steering pump with a new Borgeson unit (that sports increased pressure and volume) along with new hoses. The new gearbox will not be fouled with mess from the old system.
