After Installing Injectors??

After installing new injectors I noticed I had to raise/adjust my Idle speed,is this normal? Do new injectors run different after a period of time?

Thanks
Mike

Did you turn up your fuel as well? I had to turn up the idle after installing injectors, but I had also played with the fuel screw.

My fuel screw was adjusted to the max with the coller on before installing the injectors. I've also noticed that my engine doesn't idle as smooth as with the stock injectors..

You probably need to advance the injection pump timing. About the thickness of a dime is a good place to start.

Would bleeding the injectors maybe help smooth out the idle a bit?

Yup, air can hang out in the lines. It's kind of messy, but cracking one injector at a time for about 10 seconds each while idling will usually get everything cleared up. If there's one injector that doesnt' seem to make a big difference in sound, it could be popped wrong...

Thanks Randy I'll give it a try tomorrow. The Truck fired right up after install and it runs smooth going down the road. The motor just seems to lope a bit at Idle.
