'93 tilt column in an '89
Trying to install a '93 tilt column I picked up off craigslist in my '89. Will the wiring/connectors match up? The '93 had cruise, my '89 doesn't, theres a halo ring on the '93 too that i'd like to use...any info is appreciated!

HEy Welcome to the board. A little about yourself, and what your into...get to know the newbie.
As for your question....Not much compatible between the 89 wiring and the 93. The columns are different as well...I know it can be made to work, but you will need wiring diagrams for both years. Then you will have to cut and paste wires to make the turn signals, windshield wipers work. The cruise is controlled by the PCM on the 91-93's, and 89/90's don't have one...so that will not work.
Good luck!

Newbie, thats me!
First off, thanks for the info & tons of knowledge I have pilfered from you guys. A little about me:
Well, here goes. My 16 year old needed her first car. I wanted something big & safe for her. Looked on craigslist & found one that said Dodge diesel, $3200. Went to look. As I pulled up the old timer is sitting on the porch & yells out "I'll take $2500". Took it for a drive, everything worked. Went back & offered him $2000. I took it home, & my daughter got a Ford Tempo.
It's an '89 250 4X4 with a banks intercooler & intake, gauges, what appears to be a new injection pump, overdrive with a lock-up TC, in a reg cab long bed. It rides like a hay wagon, smokes like a chimney & smells like my grandpas shed inside. I love it.
In 2 years I've changed oil & driven the hell out of it.
Just pulled it apart to drop into an '84 crew cab. I hope I can get it to run again...
