93 d350 front hub assy
I have been pulling my hair out lately because I am converting dually to a SRW. I am in the process of locating the proper hub for my front suspension system from the dually hubs to SRW hubs. This is a 2wd truck and before I get alot of comments about the rear being wider than a standard rear I know that I am stretching the fenders to accomidate the rear width of the axle and already have the replacement bed w/out the dually fenders. I have 4000# front spindles and am having a difficult time finding hub assy's that are not for a dually truck. I did the research and did find out that many d250's had 4000# axles.
Can any one tell me where to find a 4000# hub assemble for a d250 or d350 SRW?

I had the app wrong.
The diesel era trucks never had a 5/8" studded single wheel.
An application that will work and interchanges on the 4,000 pound axles is a 1985 1 ton with the 4,000 pound front axle option, and single wheels.
Sad thing is, I inadvertantly scrapped a pair last week.

The hub is a used part only, it's been discontinued for years, at least it was 5 years ago, when I needed one.
Try a salvage yard using the application I gave you above.
They utilized the 5/8" stud and it's a 2-piece design, meaning the rotor unbolts from the hub.
The diesel era SRW hubs were only available in 1/2 studs.

I'm confused on the "hub assembly" term. Are not the front rotors a one piece unit? If you have the spindles then all you should need are new rotors and bearings? Or am I confused...yet again....

The Diesel era 3/4 ton/SRW 1 tons are both single-cast rotors, as are the early "light duty" 1 ton and 3/4 tons.
The pre-'86 "HD 3/4 ton" and SRW 1 tons are a 2 piece set-up, similar to a 1 ton dually, in that the rotor UNBOLTS from the hub.
I personally own a 1985 CrewCab SRW 1 ton with the single-cast rotors and 1/2" studs and a GVWR of 8510 pounds.
The trucks with the 2 piece single wheel, 5/8" stud rotors have a GVWR of 9,000 lbs.
I might be slightly off on the actual year range of the SRW 1 ton HUB (with the 5/8 studs) itself, but it did not make it into the Diesel era ('89-'93) trucks.
In truth, during the 1st gen diesel era, the only difference between a 3/4 ton and a 1 ton on singles (also referred to as "HD 3/4 ton") was the rear spring pack rate and the rear (and front on 4wd) spring eye bolt diameters.
There were no 5/8" studs, unless it was a dual wheel rig.

Re-read my last posting, where I mentioned my '85 Crew also has the 1 piece rotors.
It has to do with the GVWR as to whether it gets the 2 piece 5/8" stud, or the single-cast 1/2" stud rotor.

I tried my area and the junk yard that I use is linked nationally and said that they didn't have any in the south east. Any one know where I can find the 85 d350 hub.

Car-Part.com indicates numerous ROTORS in the Southeast area, but they don't show the hub separately for some ridiculous reason.
In the listings it will say "Rotor Only", yet there's no separate listing for the HUB, even dually isn't listing a HUB.
Contact a yard or 2 on their listings and see if they happen to be including the hub with their rotor.
I'm thinking some do.

Just did a little verifying on a part and I came up with this:
A 1996 Dodge van with the 4000 pound front axle uses a rotor assembly with 5/8" studs AND uses the same inner and outer bearings as a 1993 1 ton dually with a diesel.
BOTH use the same bearings.
The inner bearing is National A35, the outer bearing is National 15101.

I just did a bit of research and found that a 2000 dodge van 3500 uses the same ball joints as my 93 d350. and that would allow me use all updated equipment on my truck that I can't find parts for.

Ok I bought the spindles and lower control arms from the 2000 b3500 and everything bolts right on. The only challenge is relocating the track arms from the top of the control arm to the bottom of the control arm.
