Id pay that much for it. Think about it, it would be like buy a BRAND NEW truck. It would be a safer investment than paying $18 for a used common rail with 100k....

Your right, but i know where there's a couple 3rd gen's with low miles for not much more than he's asking. I think i'd go that route first before i spent that kind of coin on a 17 yr old truck.

My brother paid 11.5K for the Common Rail in my sig. with everything done to it already.

I personally wouldn't want to buy a truck that old with those miles on it. When they sit for a long time, things start to deterriorate (spelling?) like the gaskets and such. My brothers '97 had around 78K on it when he bought it, and it had been sitting for a while, and it blew the headgasket, in close to stock from.

Sorry Crewcab XLT for getting off track. Your dad has a really nice truck. Have any interior pics by chance? I imagine an airplane cockpit.

I would do it. It's too cool not to.

3rd gens are everywhere. They come in like 5 colors, they bore the hell out of me.

Who in their right mind would pay 22K for a gasser with over 120K miles on it?
