92 w250 cough

92 w250 cough

This Weekend I Was Heading To The Dunes With 4000 Behind Me I Hit A 7% 1.5 Mile Long Hill At 65 In Od. I Went About 3/4 Mile And It Started To Cough. It Would Run Pop Run Pop. It Was Kind Of Like A Backfire. I Made It Home Allright But What Happened. My Post Pyro Never Hit 900 While This Was Happing I Have No Boost Guage Sry. I Know Its Not A Plugged Up Airfilter. My Mods Are In My Sig. Btw I Was At About 3/4 Throtle and i could not power through it this happened at 70deg. and 35deg. every time it poped or backfired ot threw out a little puff of white smoke.

Check your wires (connections) to the fuel solenoid...First thing that comes to my mind

bleed all your lines. may be something in the tank. how much fuel did you have in it? hitting air?

1) Change fuel filter
2) Check lift pump discharge pressure
3) Check for air in the fuel lines

Not necessarily in that order, just some ideas I would start with.
