'92 AT downshifts @ 50 mph

'92 AT downshifts @ 50 mph
If the truck is running around 50 & I give it any gas, the At downshifts. If I'm running just above 50, no shift. I'm not mashing the pedal, just giving it enough gas to keep up speed. How do I stop this from happening?
