so i got a little carried away with the torch today, not much left of the back of my 88 parts donor...
aren't they cute
the 88 was an ex state truck.. most all of the sheet metal is in good shape. going to use the rockers, cab corners and fenders on the cummins...

4 inch downpipe?....check
got the holes drilled for roof lights..
fenders and hood are back on.. need to align everything so i can finish the bodywork
once the body work is done i'll rebuild the front end with new control arm bushings, ball joints, brakes, and get the dually bubs on...

took the week off from work to get some things done....goal is to have it "finished" in may, just in time for prom
put new brakes on the front and rear. ran all new brakes lines .repacked the front bearings with new seals and put the d350 hubs on. found out the d70 has 4.56 gears...aaand i built a little flatbed
made some mounts to the frame in the center to reuse the gooseneck hitch that came in the truck
should look gooood
just gotta make the headache rack and plate the back for some LED's...

Looks really good, wait until you get some paint on that thing, it changes the attitude like night and day, and you'll get your motivation back. i always think "man this thing is ugly" when i'm doing body work.
